Description

  •  Complete and submit an application.
  •  Submit an official copy of all transcripts.
  •  Include a copy of the DD 1300.
  • Complete the FAFSA.

Requirements
  •  To be eligible for this program, the student must not have reached his/her 23rd birthday
  •  A student must be a high school graduate (or equivalent) and enrolled or accepted as a full-time undergraduate student in a traditional classroom setting at a post-secondary, technical, or vocational institution eligible to participate in the U.S. Department of Educationâs Federal grant and loan programs.
  •  A student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 (on a scale of 4.0).
  • A student must be the: 1) Unmarried child of a Sailor or Marine who died while on active duty (or a reservist on extended active duty of over 30 days). 2) Unmarried child of a Sailor or Marine who died while in a retired status. 3) Unmarried child of a Sailor or Marine who died as a result of the attack on the USS Stark (on May 17, 1987). 4) Unmarried child of a service member who died in the terrorist attack on the USS Cole (October 12, 2000). 5) Unmarried child of a Sailor or Marine who died in the terrorist attack on the Pentagon (September 11, 2001). 6) Unmarried child of a Sailor or Marine who died while on active duty under hostile fire in a theater of combat operations during the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT).
