  • An official student transcript for all college work completed to date.
  • A 500-word written essay addressing the applicantâs financial need and stating why applicant should be awarded the scholarship.
  • Two letters of recommendation from previous employers and/or college professors.
  • An attestation that the scholarship will be applied toward tuition, as stated in the application.
  • Optional: Applicants are asked to include a head and shoulders photograph as scholarship recipients may be profiled in Appraisal Institute Education Trust and/or Appraisal Institute electronic and/or print media.

  • Applicant must be a minority identified by the U.S. Census Bureau as follows: Black/African American, Asian or Pacific Islander, Hispanic, American Indian, Alaskan Native, or Female.
  • Applicant must be a full-time or part-time student enrolled in real estate related courses in real estate or a related field within a U.S. degree granting college/university or junior college.
  • Applicant must have a current cumulative grade point average of no less than 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Applicant must have financial need.
  • Scholarship award must be used in the same calendar year as awarded.
