Description

In the fall of 1954 Saginaw-area businesswomen received an invitation to a tea and meeting at the Bancroft Hotel from the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) National Headquarters in Kansas City Missouri. Approximately 100 businesswomen attended the event. On Dec. 12 1954 the American Business Women's Association - Saginaw Charter Chapter was officially formed. The mission of ABWA is to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and provide opportunities for growth - both personally and professionally through leadership education networking support and national recognition.
