Since 2008, COFEM, its affiliated federations, and sponsoring partners have come together to provide scholarships to outstanding students. These scholarships have helped more than 275 students to complete their higher education.
By now the program had designated about $290,000 for immigrants, sons of immigrants, undocumented students, and AB-540/DACA students who are pursuing their dreams and completing their studies. Be an AB-540 student or member of a COFEM affiliated federation or club-Must reside and attend school in the following counties only: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Inland Empire, and Ventura County-Have a minimum GPA of 3.0-Demonstrate a need for financial assistance-Willing to volunteer from 25-50 hours serving COFEMIn an essay of no more than 2 pages please answer the following questions:-Why do you feel you should receive this scholarship?-How do you believe this scholarship will help you contribute to the fulfillment of your higher educational goals?-Identify personal and academic goals, obstacles you have overcome, and/or an event/experience in your life that inspired you to pursue your intended career or help your community.
