Created in 2008 and funded by Wyeth and Roberta Rubin, the Young Women in Science Award recognizes outstanding student achievement in basic science and research. These awards are given to the first through third place winners of the student poster presentation at the AMWA Annual Meeting. Research posters are evaluated on the basis of basic science, presentation, and commitment to an innovative and significant research project which contributes to scientific and medical knowledge. Winners are recognized at the AMWA Annual Meeting Awards Ceremony and receive prizes of $250, $150, and $100 respectively.
Submission guidelines:-Abstracts and posters may not be duplicates of submissions for previous AMWA conferences-Each presenter may submit only one poster abstract for consideration-All author names and email addresses are required and all authors must sign off on submission for the abstract to be eligible for consideration. An email will be sent to each author for their electronic signature approving the abstract at the bottom of the submission form-Submitting author must be available to present at the conference in March Poster abstract must be 300 words or less -Residents only: you can submit an abstract to be considered for oral presentation.
