Application Submission for 2016:
Part 1 must be completed by January 22nd, 2016 – Intent to apply and names of Nominating ATC and Institutional Representative
Part II by February 8th, 2016 – Final submission of application with answers to queries and Candidate ensures their Nominating ATC and Institutional Representative have completed forms.
Current scholarship candidates will be notified of the status of their applications by mid-May 2015.
NATA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS
The NATA Foundation currently awards two levels of scholarships with various categories.
You qualify for this category if you are BOC certified and are pursuing an advanced degree within domains of athletic training. You MUST be currently enrolled in a post-professional program and have at least 1 year of study/thesis/dissertation remaining to qualify for scholarship.
Master’s – Currently enrolled in program
Doctoral – Currently enrolled in program
Proof of enrollment in program MUST be provided to receive any scholarship money.
You qualify for this category if you are currently enrolled in a CAATE accredited program and you have at least one year left of study OR you are graduating in Spring 2016 and pursuing further advanced education for career development within domains of athletic training.
Undergraduate – Must have at least 60 credit hours – and have at least 1 year remaining prior to baccalaureate graduation
Graduating Undergraduate – Graduating Senior in Fall 2015 or Spring 2016 – planning on attending graduate school beginning Summer or Fall 2016
Professional Master’s – Currently enrolled in CAATE accredited Entry Level master’s program with at least 1 year remaining prior to graduation OR Currently enrolled in CAATE accredited Entry Level master’s program, graduating in Spring 2016 with intent to pursue an advanced degree.
Proof of enrollment in academic program MUST be provided to receive any scholarship money.
Applicants must be at least a junior in college and scholarships are available for undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels. Students must have a minimum 3.2 GPA and be sponsored by a certified athletic trainer and be a member of the NATA. There is an earlier deadline to start the application online.
