Description

The Asian Pacific Fund administers 12 scholarship programs to help undergraduate and graduate students achieve their education goals.

Banatao Family Filipino American Education Fund

Grade level: Incoming freshman enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year college or university in 2016-17
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Major: engineering, mathematics, computer science, environmental or physical scienceNote: those pursuing health careers are not eligible (i.e. physician, nurse, pharmacist, dentist, etc.)
Ethnic heritage: Filipino heritage (at least 50%)
Financial need
Residency:Northern California counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Merced, Monterey, Napa, Sacramento, San Benito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma or Stanislaus.
Southern California counties: Los Angeles, Orange or San Diego.

Community advocacy and social justice work on behalf of Asian American, immigrant, gay and lesbian and/or other progressive causes

Matt Fong Asian Americans in Public Finance Scholarship

Hsiao Memorial Economics Scholarship

Research/study topics: preference given to topics that benefit Asians or Asian Americans, especially those in social/economic need

Tina E. Yeh Community Service Memorial Fellowship  (For current Yale students)
General Information:

Up to two $3,000 fellowship grants are available for Yale students who will intern for 10 weeks at a non-profit organization that serves Asians (in the U.S. or Canada). The host organization must be tax-exempt and have at least one paid full-time employee.
