Purpose: To assist needy students of high scholastic standing
History: Ms. Morton was a member of The United Methodist Higher Education Foundation’s President’s Council and a lifelong United Methodist.
Eligibility: Priority will be given to students who demonstrate financial need of high scholastic standing.
Application: Use the General Named Endowed Scholarship Application
Deadline: Application must be received in the UMHEF scholarship office by March 1st.
Applicants must be active, full members of the United Methodist Church for at least a year before applying and enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited institution working towards a degree full-time. The scholarship may be used for undergraduate, graduate or professional study. Applicants should provide application forms, transcripts, references, membership proof and essays. A minimum 3.5 GPA and financial need are required. Preference is given to students who enroll at a United Methodist-related college, university, seminary or theological school.
